All our work is produced and fired in our home studio.
We make a range of functional pots for everyday use, complimented by more individual pieces.
All our glazes are mixed here, including the use of our own wood ash.
We fire in a Gas Kiln, to approximately 1300 degrees centigrade.
In the firing process, with the use of natural materials, colour variations may occur.

Returning to early memories of using clay, I soon began to enjoy the possibilities such a material could offer.
After studying ceramics at Croydon College of Art & Design, I have worked in potteries, making functional pottery.
In 2012 we moved to Somerset and started our own pottery. I make a range of pots for everyday use, plus individual bowls, dishes, and slab made platters.
A particular favourite in combination with our wood ash glazes, is exploring surface decoration on wet pots. This also involves using coloured slips with sgraffito decoration. The wood ash glazes are always a changing picture, as each new batch will require adjustments, which is both exciting and nerve racking.

Since early childhood I have always had a fascination for water. The reflections, movement and depth of colour have been a big influence on my work, both during my time at college in the late seventies and the forty years since then.
I find the act of combing through slip and the use of various tools and stamps, gives my work that sense of movement and depth I look for, especially in conjunction with our range of Ash glazes.
Recently I have been working with a white clay body and the softer more muted variations of our glazes and so far the results have been encouraging.
